The way that we are learning about these topics like sustainability and allowed to then go on Field trips after we study is really cool. When we show up to the field trips you really feel that all that time studying that topic it really completes your research. The topic of sustainability ties in to everything were studying. It has everything to do with school, food, water, and companies. All the things were looking at are very interesting from how food gets to hawaii to how to make plants grow by stepping on leaves that just how diverse are learning is. I think are purpose is to study all these things so we can really have a thought to are learning. We study and class and are reward is to be able to go on Field trips to get a better understanding. Its so much more of a satisfying way to learn being able to see what you have learned about. In some cases like Rwanda we wont be able to get to go there but as long as we put in the effort to believe were there we can still learn a lot!

Nitrogen cycle

The Nitrogen Cycle is one of our planet's most important nutrient or biogeochemical cycles. There is no shortage of the element nitrogen here, it makes up 78-79% of our worlds atmosphere. The atmosphere's nitrogen, N2, has a very strong triple bond between the two atoms and it shows. As plants need fixed nitrogen and we rely either directly, by eating plants, or indirectly, by eating animals that have eaten plants, on them for our lives, fixed nitrogen is critical to life and all the things around it.Nitrogen fixing bacteria are able to fix nitrogen by breaking apart the triple N bond and reworking it to make plant friendly compounds that are ammonia or nitrates. They fix around 120 million tons of nitrogen per year around the world waste.

Rwanda further investigation

Are there physical differences between hutu people and tutsi people? Hutu's and tutsi's are two ethnic groups from rwanda, the thing that there really know for is obviously the genocide that took place in 1994.The main difference that could really be shown as that the tutsi people have a lighter brown color than the hutu people. In terms of problems before the genocide and even still today the way there lifestyle works they regularly mix. Researchers found that if your a tutsi you have a less shot of getting sickle cell disease. When the belgian colonists took over the country in 1919 it almost started a whole difference in groups. Because imagine being in a group and than your competition becomes the group that you have peace with, then it just comes down to who is going to get land.600 years ago the tutsi came to rwanda and conquered the hutus and made them grow crops for them. Another physical difference is that the tutsi had longer necks and a bigger skull. Which was most noticeable to any government official or person. I feel like if know one ever made a ethnic difference it would of never made a difference and know one would of ever looked at physical differences.

Orgin of life

I think life started from people being born and than every year the people that were 1st born start realizing how life works and they just kept explaining to the next group of people. The human race just kept evolving from half humans in to full human form. How and why that happened has all come down to the earth changing and how all life started. I think the meaning of life is that every organism is born and you live out what ever you are in. Some people say when you die you could come back something else. But that theory is completely unknown.life is all controlled by a couple amount of acids and things we need As evolution keeps moving on the changes of life will be so greatly different.

1.The ideas are connected because i already knew that there are things that all living organisms need. I did not know that it was a 20 set of amino acids that make up entire life through.

2.well the question how did earth know what these amino acids work to live life? Its cool to think about, that there are a group of amino acids things that all living organisms need to survive. Really cool how they are looking at things from space that have these amino acids and etc. that could of created the earth and life. Unfortunately most of that evidence is not on earth.

3.the thought that if there is one change in these amino acids can change everything and the overall being of that organism is scary to think about. My question still remains how is it that there is a specific set of things all living things need when all we do is live are life not thinking about that? Because i have never even really thought about life before. I mean I've just thought about how did life start where are we right now? Is life just you live and than you die?

I think its so intresting how sceintist make there entire life on studying just one thing. I think the fact that everyone should know how life was created and how we live from these things that we dont even know are

Primary source

The author is descrbing what really happened in terms of what were peoples thoughts. Everyone had something that they did or they thought about during the genocide and this just makes it more clear.I am getting tons of useful things to think about like the fact that it just destroyed some people inside. It just took there whole body over. I think the author is trying to show us what we think just to be some genocide story that there was people killed. The author wants us to know what it did past just killing people and hiding.I agree with that author is saying i mean i can see how the fact that everyone was killing eacother would bother you just make you crazy. It supports itself with the facts giving in the atricle. This is a story of a man who finds himself killing people but then had the power to be able to admit he killed people because he couldnt handle what was going on.The authors main point was to show us a story of someone who experieced, what it did to them, and how it affected others. The author confirms tons of stuff i knew before like the fact that some people just wanted to kill because they knew everyone else was doing it. The human race is very intresting and this is a great example of what some things can do to your humanity.I never knew that people were actually arrested for crimes that were such things as killing. Some questions i still have are: What happened after rwanda when hutus and tutsis moved to other countires what happened when people found out what they were? How did the fact that they said the tutsis shot down the plane anger the tutsis, if the tutsis didnt do it? Is there a reason that the genocide even started besides the fact that they shot down the plane? Was there another personal reason that sparked? Besides anything we have ever learned about, why did it start?!

I am curious about how much electricity it takes to use lights in my house. If we don't turn off the lights does it drain allot of electricity . The only thing i really know is that my whole life people always say turn off the Lights when your home. I think that we really need to fix the amount of electricity we fix. We should use more natural light when we are in school and at nome. How much electricity would it waste if you kept every light on in a house? What are the effects of using a lot of electricity? Are there light bulbs that save a lot of energy.

http://www.epa.gov/cleanenergy/energy-and-you/affect/index.html

Of the total energy used in america 39% is to create electricity. All forms of electricity have an environmental impact. If we use combined heat to create electricity we can reduce the amount of fuel it takes to create electricity. What is combined heat? And how is it used to help create electricity? How do we reduce the amount of electricity the entire world is using? Because with the amount of fuel we have left we cant be wasting it all on electricity.

Reflection week 3

This week in mpx i really enjoyed the way we reviewed are infographics from the previous week with the other mpx class. I thought that was very helpful to see those comments. I am excited to see how are knew group rwanda infographics are going to look. The fact that where all answering the questions we wanted to know is really cool than we can add it all up and im really intrested to see how they look at the end. This week we also did our first sceince lab, i was true with my hypothesis so i feal really good about that. And it was helpful doing work with the corks too. Teamwork in mpx is definatley makeing us all better as a group. Are group has answered about 4 questions: what happned after rwanda? how did it start? why did it happen so fast? what happened during? The fact that we are answering these 4 questions will put up a really good amount of research to make a infograph.Im excitted to see all the infographics that are going to be put together by our class. I didnt have any problems answering my rwanda questions. I just researched alot and found out all the facts that i wanted to know and looked at tons of websites and on the mpx page with all the videos. The videos were a little harder for me to watch. Waatching people die, espically children on a small film was hard to watch. This week we also did the charcter profile. That was good, i wrote about ender. It was not that hard for me i thought ender was a pretty easy charcter to discuss. He had some many traits throughout his journey and the games. I just sat down and wrote the 8 paragraphs like it was nothing, I feal like we should do these writing papers more becuase it really inporves my writing and now next week we will be able to finalize it becuase it was just a draft this week. The only problem was really finding a quote that went well to explain what ender's peronsnailty. The fact that ender was really smart really helped him though his journey. He didnt let anyone get in his head for him to know what he know was the right thing to do

Rwanda friday, what happened after?

Rwanda started to rebuild after. But it was so hard because when you have 800,000 people died how are you suppose to barry them? After the battle they had just go on the streets and barry people and one big box basically. The country of rwanda was just done. Rwanda than had alot of rebuilding to do. In rwanda after they just now but people in houses and they lost tons of the amount of there population. After the genocide rwanda had nothing no president no government no anything. They didnt get very much help by other countries to start rebuilding. All the people who witnessed the genocide have problems now a day having to remember what happened.Rwanda is still not safe today through maily because now they have to worry about congo that is mainly made up of hutus. So i dong really think the genocide will ever be completely over. I think the fact that no countires surronding rwanda want to help them is maily the reason that there is still conflicts today. Say rwanda was on the border of canada. Us being the U.S we would find a way to help. If we tryed to help out rwanda now or say during the genocide we could of started something that destoyed are country.100,000 kids were left orpahned after the genocide.
